real estate internet marketing
How to find data for my real estate research?

I am doing a research on residential real estate market for a school project. However, I can’t seem to find much useful information over the internet. What I want to know are

1) How many landlords in the US
2) How many tenants in the US
3) How many percent of landlor own x number of property
4) What’s the average rent that people pay, preferably break down by demographics.

stuff like that.

Please let me know where and how can I obtain information like that. Thank you all in advance!
Are there more other than the US Census Bureau? I am amazed the amount of the data in there but the compilation and organization is not very clear.
It seems like there could be a lot of overlap in data.

I can’t remember the exact website… but it is census.gov, statistics or something like that? It lists all these things by state and zip code.

If you google things like that, you’ll get everything from local statistics on race, income, children, schools and all of the things you mentioned… Im sorry I can’t remember the exact link though, it has been a while since I used it. Sorry…

Realtor.com is an excellent site for home searching by zip code.
